NEWSFLASH

Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-1 in the Carling Cup final thanks to two goals by top scorer Didier Drogba. Arsenal's youngsters displayed great confidence, out playing Chelsea in the first half, taking the lead through Theo Walcott. Five minutes later, Drogba equalised, slotting the ball -past Almunia. Just after half time Chelsea captain John Terry was involved in a horror collision after Diaby caught him accidentally in the face with his boot. Thankfully, he was unhurt and received a standing ovation from both sets of fans. The incident seemed to rally Chelsea and the winning goal came in the 84th minute when Arjen Robben crossed for Drogba who rose magestically to direct the header past the disparing keeper. Deep into injury time, a mass brawl errupted and three players were given their marching orders. The final whistle blew and Chelsea lifted the Cup for the second time under Mourinho.
